Florida is nicknamed the ‘Sunshine State’ for a reason! In Orlando and Lake Buena Vista, temperatures during the summer are high and can be humid. Florida is a tropical destination, hot and sunny weather is common but thunder storms and rainfall can be expected, particularly in the summer months during the afternoon. Though don’t let this put you off, the rain is not cold and can freshen things up a bit! Travel to Orlando in the summer months between May and early October for scorching temperatures that can reach daily highs in the mid 30°C. Some tourists prefer to visit outside of these months in early spring and late autumn, as it’s a lot dryer with the temperature around the mid 20s. A light jacket may be needed in the evenings as the temperatures dip slightly when the sun goes down, not to mention a cover-up for indoors, the air conditioning can be a touch on the chilly side!
