We like Holiday Inn Expresses, and this is a good one. We had a suite which gave us plenty of room. The tv was also well placed. The breakfast area was big and had a big selection. The staff seemed nice, and our room was clean. The pool looked nice and wrapped around, but we didn’t use it.

Poor Value, Bad Stay

Our flight home after vacation was cancelled and we had to scramble to find a hotel. I feel a little gauged as we paid $260/night, double the current advertised rate. The staff is great, and the check-in process was fine. The room was another story. The halls were dirty to the room. Upon entering it looked nice at first glance, but the blemishes became clear. A used wash rag was hanging in the bathroom. The nightstand was coming out from the wall and very unstable. A $5 tip from the previous tenant was still wedged by the phone, so I'm pretty sure that entire area wasn't even looked at. There were stains on the sheets and bedspread. The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable. The Air Conditioner was so freakin loud, I'd say it was broken. Finally, the walls were so thin, it sounded like the next door neighbors were in our room. We might as well have opened the adjoining doors and shared the space. That was night 1. Due to the noise, we asked to be moved for night 2. The staff was great and accomodated our request. Unfortunately, repeat all the issues of the previous night, uncomfortable beds, and extremely noisy. For $260/night, I feel ripped off.

We recently spent just over two weeks at this hotel. First, I must point out just how great all their employees seemed to, from housekeeping to front desk. Currently the hotel allows you to choose the level of housekeeping you want, but even if you decide to do without, they will still leave you fresh towels, TP, etc. on a daily basis. The morning free breakfast was quite good, although after a couple weeks one might yearn for something different just for change of pace. If I could mention two negatives...1) while they have three elevators, only two were working, and both were terribly slow. Very busy in the morning so you should expect long waits only to find the elevators full when it finally arrives, and 2) the hall floors were not vacuumed daily and some days trash left by the ice machine was not picked up. Fairly minro items...
