We just checked in and our room looks like it was renovated last in 2006. We asked for a more renovated unit (which we have been in one of them a few months ago) and they put us in a room 4 units down and it is the same exact unit except this one has even more damage to furniture and cabinets. The dishwasher is literally falling apart and the amount of dust and hair that was all over the unit as we walked in is disgusting. We ended up booking a hotel and not staying here as my wife didn’t feel comfortable staying in something that we wouldn’t call sanitary.

Check in was pretty easy. The 2 bedroom unit has a nice, roomy layout and our unit was clean. Kitchen is strange, with very odd cabinetry and placement of things. But clean and mostly functional. Our furniture is a bit worn and not comfy. Linens are average and bed is ok. I give the unit 4 stars. But for us, I give the resort 2 stars. We now realize we much prefer the resorts with on-site restaurants, bars, and live music/entertainment. We really miss the fun resort days with tiki hut happy hour, a band, and the fun atmosphere. This place is the quietest place we’ve ever stayed. Until the construction noise starts. Today, our building is being roofed and a large playground area right outside our balcony is being rebuilt. I knew there was construction, but my bad luck that it’s all over us today. Our relaxing resort day is a bust and I think we’ll head to a theme park for a break Cypress Palms may work for some but we have gotten spoiled to our favorites in Orlando. On a side note, the guy that called last night to book us a sales pitch was very polite. I explained that we liked more on-site amenities and he understood. The staff we’ve encountered are helpful and nice. Several chain restaurants super close-Chili’s, Macaroni Grill, Krispy Kreme, Lone Star, Uno. CVS and Aldi right here, too.

Resort is great, Wyndam not so great.

Check-in was fast and efficient until you were to get your room keys. Then you had to go to the "concierges' desk to be hassled to attend a sales presentation to buy more timeshare. JUSTGIVE ME MY KEY AT THE CHECKIN DESK!
