A wonderful break away from the bustling city, head to Shingle Creek Regional Park to experience a fairy tale-like forest. Walk through woodland into natural, but somewhat flat terrain, through huge trees that shade the sky. Wander through the forest along floating wooden paths that lie on the swampy lakes and over bridges across idyllic streams.

Have fun spotting the wildlife and exotic birds that live in the trees and shrubbery. Watch as the water snakes and alligators swim and feed in their natural habitat. After a calming stroll, climb into a canoe or kayak and follow the paddling trail through the swampy waters up to the creek to truly immerse yourself in the country's wilderness.
