Just returned from an 11 night stay at the Ipek Palas. I travelled alone and was made to feel so welcome safe & comfortable by all the staff. The reception and concierge Gem went above and beyond for me. Even chasing a taxi down the street with me & when we couldn't get one lent me his Istanbul card, ❤ him. I had an economy room which was adequate and nicely decorated. The only thing missing for me is that I would have liked sliced bread with a toaster for breakfast with some baked beans. That would have been perfect. Other than that had an amazing time. Hotel is also in a good location for many tourist attractions.

We where first in 212 economy room and even though we was only sleeping there it was very difficult to get organised as room is very small and claustrophobic the shower room was lovely though. We asked to change rooms and we was put in what the call the honeymoon suite which was very comfortable but the shower room was very small. We was happy to pay extra. However the shower room was not very clean, we found a razor cap in the shower and it wasn’t ours. The extractor fun was full of dust looks like it has been cleaned in years. No coffee mate or milk in the room and only paper cups. Breakfast no toast, no fried egg. If you want something different you have to pay for it and again no mugs. I asked twice for toilet paper and they didn’t bring any. Hotel doesn’t serve alcohol in the terrace Last day we came down to breakfast at 8.05 as it starts at 8am. No hot food when I asked she claims it hasn’t come yet but it’s ridiculous as it didn’t arrive till 8.10. Also staff Ned to sort out their personal hygiene out especially the staff in the so called restaurant

First time in Istanbul- stayed at this hotel

This was my husband and I first time staying in Istanbul. Overall our experience at this hotel was excellent from start to finish ( we stayed 5 nights) the reception/ front of house staff had exceptional customer service they accommodated out every need ( ironed all our clothes etc, gave us Istanbul kart card, gave us water bottle extra towels toilet rolls) nothing we asked was ever an issue. In particular Mehmet, Omar and Alleadin were extremely helpful and polite they showed first class customer service to us and made us feel very welcome. They told us how to get to places gave really good direction. Mehmet arranged for us to have private taxi pick up for our last day with ease. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Walking distance to so many shops restaurants and to the metro/ train station. It is about an hour away from Istanbul international airport though. Breakfast was nice and filling. 24 hour reception very good as it meant what ever issue you had could get sorted out quickly. Staff were friendly, polite and rooms cleaned daily. We will definitely be returning to this hotel
