Where can I get the bus from Marmaris?

Local mini-buses (called a dolmus in Turkish) operate throughout the resort and also to neighbouring resorts of Icmeler and Turunc. For travel further afield, buses leave and arrive at Marmaris bus station near the entrance to the resort.

What are the best gyms in Marmaris?

In resort, Reflex Gym is probably the best. Many hotels have gyms but they vary widely in standard. A notable one is at the Grand Azur hotel. Prices vary throughout the season.

Where can I get the ferry to/from Marmaris?

The ferry/catamaran departs from Marmaris port which is just outside of the town. Timetables are available from the Thomas Cook Rep/Office or from the catamaran operator, Yesil Marmaris. Current cost is approximately £49 for adults and £30.50 for children including port tax.

What is the nightlife like in Marmaris?

The nightlife is entertaining and varied. Along the beachfront you will find fun pubs and Karaoke bars with dance shows put on by the staff and local acts. Drag shows are popular, the most famous being the ‘Talk of The Town’. For serious clubbers, head to Bar Street which is packed with revellers of all different nationalities every night of the week throughout high season. If you prefer to sit back, relax and watch the colourful parade of people, the many open air restaurants along the beachfront and the old harbour stay open till late.
