Just back from a week at the Metin Hotel where things are starting to return to normal. Quiet during our week's stay, maybe a couple of dozen guests, mostly regulars, but our first time. Room 106 on the ground floor, a spacious room with a double and 2 singles. There's no denying the fittings are in need of updating but functional nonetheless. Bed and breakfast basis for us, and the Turkish fare in the mornings took some getting used to, it takes a while to adjust to no fried food, we're British after all! Staff are all very friendly and helpful, if you're in need of anything. No problem with printing off documents that are now an essential part of travelling to and from the UK. Pool area never got busy, enough sunbeds and parasols for all, and water not by any means warm but pleasant enough to take a swift dip in. Pool bar open 11 am til late, but very quiet whilst we were there. A bottle of cold Efes 25TL which is pretty much the going rate this year in most bars. The excellent exchange-rate of 11.70 locally makes a massive difference to how far your money goes this year, the last time we were in Dalyan was 2 years ago with the rate around 8.5. I believe the Metin will be staying open another few weeks and re-opening for the new season late April/early May next year. I can see why most people return to the hotel year after year, it grows on you very quickly!

I first visited Dalyan in 2012 and have returned to the Metin Hotel every year since. Everyone you meet at the hotel will either be on their first visit to Metin in Dalyan or be on their 3rd, 4th, 5th so on. The staff cannot do enough for you, Nurten is amazing and will ensure your stay is perfect, The pool is brilliant with a baby pool next to it, The pool bar serve brilliant food at reasonable price, The views at the breakfast rooftop cannot be compared, If you're attending Metin/Dalyan for the first time, make sure you have as many boat trips as you can as they're phenominal. Visit Labohemedalyan, Cafe Dalyano and the Tequila Bar Enjoy!! Dalyan will steal your heart :)

Fantastic Hotel with Great Staff

Just returned from the Metin and it was fantastic as usual.Very clean,great location and great staff & family. Hassan and Nurten such nice and friendly hosts and will be back next May hopefully. Infact i have booked 3 times for next year i like it that much. If you want to be 1 minute from all the action,this is the hotel for you,so close to the centre but you don't hear any noise from your hotel room,very quiet and get a great sleep on the comfy beds. See you all next year !
