Alanya is a beautiful medieval town, tucked behind the Taurus Mountains. Home to a couple of perfect, sandy Blue Flag beaches such as Cleopatra Beach, it is the perfect Turkish resort for families looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun.

One of the most popular things to do in Alanya is to spend time exploring the picturesque harbour and all that the surrounding area has to offer. The best way to see the harbour is by foot, but it's also possible to take a small boat tour and take in the beautiful Alanya coast from the sea.

Down at the harbour you can watch the world go by at a local bar and take in the sights of the many pirate ships that make their home in Alanya's waters. You can also take a wander up to Alanya Castle and the famous Red Tower. From here you can get an excellent view across the whole of Alanya. There are some quite steep steps leading up to the tower, so bear this in mind before trekking up there in the heat.
