Remains hard to beat
Our sixth visit to Cornelia Deluxe and it never disappoints. Traveled at the start of UK school holidays as our daughter is a teacher. A few changes since our last visit, pre-pandemic. The Turkish restaurant has gone and instead an outdoor bbq night (no charge but have to book) twice weekly. Kids area extended and looks great for the young ones. Room service has resumed and mini-bar upgraded (all complimentary). Works to green area adjacent to the beach had been redesigned and works well with coveted beach area for sand lovers. As usual the food, service and cleanliness was first rate. No stresses to find sun-beds, although fair share of those that must have a certain spot and out early with towels. Only one comment is stronger enforcement on the use of swim nappies on the kids of the few parents too selfish to consider others. We stayed in the swim-up rooms this time and enjoyed the more intimate breakfast at Hedera, before venturing over to the main pool. Good variety of entertainment most evenings with kids show followed by main show and then live music/disco until late for those that want it. Can’t recommend the hotel or compliment the staff enough!
Family holiday
We have just stayed at the Cornelia de luxe and loved every minute of it. The food was lovely and it was a very clean hotel. All the staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. In particular the entertainment team throughout the day and night. Ugur and Ekrem were really nice guys and made every activity so much fun! They had us laughing every night. Thanks for a great holiday!
Fabulous All Inc
We stayed here for 2 weeks as a family of 4 but part of a group of 11. Everyone had a fabulous time. Rooms - we had 2 twin rooms, they’re clean, spacious, good air con, very nice bathroom area, quiet, good snack and mini bar. Definitely get a room in the main hotel, not the garden rooms. Drinks - they’ve got it all covered, premium spirits, cocktails, all manner of soft drinks and juices, coffee etc all served generously (too much for me who kept asking for a smaller measure) some of the waitresses struggle with English so if you want a specific cocktail go the bar else you might get a mojito instead of a mai tai. Even the wine is palatable. Plenty of bars, all table or bar service, bottles of beer and bottled water available. Food - I felt this was exceptional, agreed with some others the evening buffet on an international evening was lacking but you get a slip when you check in that tells you the nights, the fish, Mexican, and Asian nights are all very good. There’s an outdoor bbq twice a week definitely book that (Wed and a Friday) the alacartes were definitely worth the supplement. The quality is food available is outstanding, you can view the menus at guest services before booking. Lunch time - avoid the buffet much better food at the pool bar - steak, kebabs, burgers, pizzas, salads. Or hotdogs, wraps and the biggest and best jacket potatoes I’ve ever had at the place by the slides. They also do waffles, iceceam and try a Turkish ice cream waffle! Not to be missed. Entertainment - reps all do a good job and I felt we’re not too intrusive, they approach you the first couple of days to join in and then leave you if you’re not interested. The usual games etc and all worth a go, some get a little competitive. The evening entertainment was great, a show of high quality at 9:30pm followed by live music or an event. We really enjoyed the Las Vegas night, space party and pier party. There’s also a nightclub. Sunbeds - loads we never had an issue, yes if you like a certain place then get up but there was always plenty available and plenty of shade if needed. My only issue was the sunbeds by the pool could be better, the beach had better more comfortable beds. There is a kids club but there were 5 kids from 12-17 so we didn’t experience that, mini disco was at 8:45pm Nice breeze down on the pier sunbeds I used to pop down there for an hour in the afternoon, slides are great and enough to keep kids entertained, never any queues and open 10-12 and then 2-6:30. Take bug spray a few of us got badly bitten a couple of nights. Belek is 5 euro each way, lots of shops all selling fakes, some better quality than others and definitely barter. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend, I didn’t get all the names but Senner, Secmuk, the omelette and jacket potato lady and most of the bar staff who work the daphne bar were all exceptional. Senner made a special effort with us all. There were a lot of different nationalities and if the Russians are rude, tell them (they do understand) we also encountered a lot of English, i dislike hotels that are all British so felt the mix was fine.
