Lovely chilled holiday

My husband, 13 year old son and I spent 11 days at this lovely resort in Davutlar. We had an interconnecting family room which was a good option for the 3 of us. The room overlooked the pool and we could also see the sea. Our room was also very well located to the restaurant, bar and cafe. This is not a particularly big resort compared to others in Turkey but I think that is what makes this resort so nice. The resort itself is very well looked after by all the staff from the beach to the restaurant to the rooms everywhere was very clean. The food in the restaurant was very good with lots of choices as well as the cafe which is next to the pool. You can also get fresh gozleme (Turkish pastry) made by a lovely lady called Safiye, they are absolutely delicious and it's fascinating to watch how they are made. The upstairs bar is managed by a great guy called Mustafa. He was extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble for either himself or his staff. Unfortunately the hotel does not serve any bubbles like prosecco which is my favourite drink so we would buy bottles from the supermarket and Mustafa would always ensure there was an ice bucket and champagne flutes ready for me when we went to the bar. The animation team was also very good. They tried to get everyone involved which some people were happy too but if you just wanted to relax and sunbathe they did not pester you. The evening entertainment was varied with some good shows to watch. All in all we had a really lovely family holiday and would definitely think about going back again in the near future.

Palm Wings Kusadasi

Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted in a friendly manner, our bags were delivered to the room, the room was very similar in dimensions and looks as it was presented on the website, it was located in the second building and it cane in very handy as it was in the middle of everything(so would definitely recommend asking for that building). Upon arrival we were give a leaflet with the closing and opening times for the bar/restaurant, but there was no map so it was a bit hard initially to orientate in the hotel, took us a while to figure out where things were. Also I have to mention that it was very surprising to find out that the minibar only contained a bottle of water (some guests even complained that they didn’t receive anything upon arrival), so do not expect anything apart from water in the minibar (not exactly what you would expect from a 5* hotel). Overall the room was kept very clean and definitely could also see around the hotel people always cleaning, and that is something that personally counts. The pool area is not very big, around the time we went it was still quiet but as the days went by it was getting busier and it did fell a but crammed, the beach on the other hand is lovely, quite specious and always clean. As mentioned before at the time we went the hotel was not that busy so at any time of day we were able to find sun-lounges. Food wise, I would say it was decent, definitely enough variety and good quality, the only downside I would say it was a bit repetitive, also for someone that is vegetarian I would say it could be a bit of a struggle as sometimes not all the food labels were explicit, as we encountered times when it was labled as vegetables but there was also was meet in there as well. The bar I would say it can use some improvement, drinks and cocktails vary depending on the bartender you would get, sometimes they were great and tasted similar to what you would expect but other times they weren’t even close to what it should resemble. The entreatment was good, majority of the nights there were some kind of acts brought in definitely impressed with the circus act and the 2 singers that performed on the terrace bar one night (outstanding voices). The hotel entreatment team was doing the best they could, Marcello and Casper definitely helped the atmosphere and were the heart and soul of the team, the 2 girls working there as well were nice and friendly and doing a great job with the kids, the rest of the team was ok as well but there some individuals that seem to be more preoccupied with what their colleagues were doing rather than working. Also I felt like there were a lot of things that could improve such as not making the entertainment team try to push guests so much to buy tickets for tombolas and games like that, sometimes you could definitely see how much pressure they were put under and I think also on the guests, as small things like this can leave a bit of a bitter taste, also there was a popcorn cart and candy floss there during the evening shows that were charging about 2 euros per snack, is not a lot but when you have kids and you already pay for all inclusive you would expect small things like this to be included. The spa I would definitely recommend, the staff there and the services they offer are definitely what made the experience better. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is very professional and friendly and the guys from the spa they were happy to help with anything and everything, even if ti was not related with their job, also on our last day they let us use their shower facilities and the hammam free of charge, we were provided with fresh towels and weren’t restricted on time or use of the facilities. Overall the location is lovely, going into town is definitely recommended. The area is nice and quiet, perfect for a relaxing time, definitely would return to the area as it was nice to have a relaxing break. For someone that is looking to relax or have a family holiday I would recommend the location.
