Nerja – Weather
Nerja enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate with long summers and mild winters. It has an amazing average of 300 days of sunshine per year, which means you can look forward to soaking up the sun on almost every day of the year.
The summer boasts clear blue skies between June and September with a daily average of 27°C. UV levels are very high in the summer and temperatures in Nerja are known to rise to highs of 40°C during the peak of summer. You’ll have 14 hours of sunshine per day in July and August, which is the best time to visit for the most heat and sunlight.
Nerja weather cools slightly in autumn and winter, which has an average temperature of 14°C in November onwards. Temperatures often drop below 10°C in January, which means you’ll need to pack a jacket to stay warm in the evenings. There’s around 90mm of rainfall per month, but showers are usually short and light so it shouldn’t get in the way of your holiday.
The weather in Nerja improves in March and April, with warmer temperatures and up to ten hours of sunshine per day. The average high is around 24°C, which is perfect weather for relaxing on the beach and working on your tan.
