Hotel located on the Costa Brava, next to the sea and the promenade of Santa Susanna, very close to the tourist and commercial centre.H Top Royal Sun Suites boasts a good range of facilities to suit the budget traveller. Situated very close to the beach as well as to the tourist centre with many amenities. Lovely hotel and friendly staff ; the food is excellent. Me and my husband will definitely go back there .Roof top pool and a cocktail bar , our room had a double bed , settee and a kitchen area .The rooms were cleaned every day and lovely clean towels each day .

First time visit to Santa Susannah and very impressed. Hotel staff very friendly, rooms spacious. Close walk to the beach and use of facilities in 13 other nearby htop hotels. The only downside was a few whinging british tourists as not enough chips served! I would recommend this hotel and lots to do in surrounding area if you can be bothered

We booked to go so Santa Susanna, as we had not been there before. Jet2 booked us into HTop Royal Sun Family Suites. We got to the Hotel, and as we were unpacking in our room, we had a knock on the door and a guy said in very broken English, that he wanted to come in and clean our room??? We told him we had literally just arrived, so it would not need cleaning, to this he seemed a bit confused, but eventually went. On going out we put the Do Not Disturb card on the outside of our door, when we came back it was inside the door and some one had been in?? Presumably to clean it? Evening meal was at 7pm, so we go down to the restaurant, and the doors opened at 10 past 7. I asked the guy checking us into the restaurant why the delay, and he said it was only 10 mins!!! The food was OK if you liked fish! It was very Spanish, ok we were in Spain, but usually they cater for British tastes? Not very much at this hotel!! Next night the restaurant opened at 15mins past 7??? Didn't bother saying anything to the idiot on the door. Third night doors opened at 5 past 7. They were getting better!! All my wife wanted was a chip sandwich, but that night they did not put any butter out in the restaurant?? Upon asking the bozo on the door where the butter was, he said he would go and find out. Nothing , nada, came out of the kitchen. My wife then went and asked again where the butter was and Bozo told her "What's your problem with no butter" !!! I went to reception and asked to speak to the hotel manager about this. Unfortunately she was too busy to see us, ( maybe she was at the shops buying some butter? ), however her messenger told us there had been a misunderstanding over no one speaking English when we asked in the restaurant for some butter, there was some there now , and would we like to go back down to the restaurant? We declined her offer, especially as some one ( Mr Bozo ) could speak English enough to say what he said to my wife! Next evening we went in at about 7.30 to avoid any waiting, and a lady came up to our table with a plate with 4 packs of butter !?!? Apologising for yesterday. Very nice of her. It may have been the hotel manager, but I'll never know! Later went back to our room and there was a platter of fruit, walnuts and cheese, and some glass bottled water , with a note sating sorry. So they do care. That was a very nice gesture. But still the food in general was pretty rubbish. One other thing about the hotel is that all the rooms have the balconies facing to the rear of the hotel. That rear faces down a street containing out door entertainment from other hotels. For the entire week, the music blared out from these other hotels until midnight every night. Very good if you like disco, 80's and 90's hits, but not very good if you want to get to sleep. In addition to which, there isn't a lot to do in Santa Susanna . The high light for me was a trip to the Carrefour supermarket?? Yes I know I am sad. Anyway, we won't be visiting Santa Susanna again.
