A Hidden Gem!

Wow, what a holiday! After two previous trips to Calella, staying in noisy hotels, I asked for a recommendation for a hotel from one of the local cafes I regularly used. They suggested The Neptuno, omg! What a fabulous place! The rooms are lovely, clean, spacious enough and equipped with a tv, fridge, hairdryer, a safe as well as your usual tea, kettle etc. You are given a complimentary bottle of water which was needed when we arrived. We were booked on a bed & breakfast basis which was perfect for us and the buffet was gorgeous. I think I went up 5 times every morning! It all tasted amazing and was kept topped up and fresh the whole time. We used both the Beach Club and The Spa that is part of the hotel which just rounded off our stay perfectly. The best thing about the hotel though was the staff. Barbara,Hector, Xavi, Mohammed Nellie and Jorge were just the best!. But they were all fabulous. They were so friendly, welcoming and helpful especially after I had been in an accident on the bus transfer to the hotel from the airport, supplying ice packs and recommending dentists for my injuries as well as taxis to the hospital. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BEAUTIFUL HOTEL ENOUGH AS SOMEWHERE TO STAY ! I will definitely be returning as soon as I can

Very disappointed... First hotel to ever refuse me and my partner from bringing breakfast food to our room I've been all over the world and I have been been refused to bring food back to our room.....

On arrival thought we was going to get a Happy welcome? The young man with bright blue eyes could not crack a SMILE, so we booked in paid our Spain added Tax then we had to pay €50 Euros for the Towels in our room! That just annoyed us, then we went to our room supposed to be Superior obviously it doesn’t match English expectations but it was a nice room. The staff in the restaurant are miserable but cleaners are friendly i am done I will not return to spain. So when you get your €50 euros back… they get the cleaner to check your room & do a towel count!! Must of been waiting at least 20 mins! The food was okay plenty of choice but you struggle to find a clean table especially at breakfast time (go early) as they don’t have enough staff to make up tables. Management very helpful/ think they need to be in the restaurant permanently as the staff seem to work better.
