Benidorm Nightlife

Benidorm has a reputation as the party capital of the Costa Blanca, and the buzzing Benidorm nightlife makes it easy to see why. If your idea of the perfect holiday is a day at the beach followed by partying all night, there's no better place to do it than on holiday in Benidorm. From British-themed pubs and bars to sports bars, cabaret and show bars, there's something here for everyone. You can enjoy stand-up comedy, catch a magic show, sing your heart out at karaoke, or dance until the sun comes up at one of the resort's clubs. Nightlife in Benidorm can be as laid-back or as lively as you want it to be.

Best bars

Nights out in Benidorm usually start and end in 'English Square'. Here's where you'll find all the best, most buzzing British (and Irish) themed bars and pubs, where everybody speaks English. When it comes to the best bars in Benidorm, many of the establishments here make the list, and there are plenty of tapas bars and restaurants here too, making it a great spot to begin any night out.

You'll also find sports bars showing live Sky Sports and offering a good range of pub food to line your stomach for the night ahead.

The Old Town's main square has a huge selection of bars with outdoor terraces, where you can enjoy a jug (or two) or homemade sangria. With tapas bars right on your doorstep, this is a great place to head for dinner before hitting the bars, and many of the laid-back venues in the Old Town have regular live music performances. The Rincon and Levante areas are the best spots to organise a pub crawl or hit a karaoke bar with your friends for cheap drinks deals.

It's also worth popping into the bar where scenes for the Benidorm TV series were filmed to snap some photos for friends back home. For a more laid-back night out you'll find cabaret bars offering dinner and a show, or why not head for one of the beachfront bars on Levante Beach where you can relax with a cocktail outside?

Best nightclubs

Nightclubs in Benidorm are generally cheaper and more laid-back than those in Ibiza. During the summer months, the super clubs here host crazy parties, which attract some of the world's top DJs. The resort's most popular super clubs are mostly located around Avenida Communitat Valencia, which is around a five-minute taxi ride from most hotels. Some of the biggest clubs in Benidorm have multiple dance floors and attract crowds of up to 5,000 clubbers.

You can enjoy foam parties and music from artists such as Roger Sanchez and David Guetta, as well as a mix of old-school R&B, dance, house and chart music. Look out for clubs offering VIP packages where you can enjoy secluded seating for you and your friends, as well as premium drinks deals.

Although most clubs charge a fairly steep entry fee, you'll usually get a drink included in the entry price. Some smaller clubs may offer free entry, and you might be lucky enough to pick up a flyer earlier in the night for a cheap deal.

Insider tips

  • Plan a pub crawl if you're heading for the Rincon or Levante areas as there are too many bars here to choose just one or two.
  • For a quieter night out, sample some tasty tapas and a glass of wine at one of the cosy bars in the Old Town.
  • Live entertainment bars and pubs are generally free to get in, but be aware drinks here can be slightly more expensive than elsewhere.
  • Beachfront bars charge more for a pint, but you do get to enjoy free live bands.
  • Some of the best nightclubs in Benidorm are right on the beach, where you can dance until the sun comes up with a cocktail in your hand.
