Benidorm is a perfect destination for families, and there’s lots to do and see, keeping everyone happy during your holiday. If you’re looking for hours of fun and lots of things to do in Benidorm, there are theme parks galore, as well as waterparks, zoos, and family-friendly attractions with plenty of age-appropriate rides.

If you’re planning a romantic holiday in Benidorm with your other half, this sunny destination is great for couples too.

Places to go

Benidorm has been a top beach holiday destination for years, and this favourite hotspot has two spectacular Blue Flag beaches. Levante is the livelier of the two, with plenty of watersports and facilities for the kids, as well as sugar-soft sand that’s just perfect for sandcastle competitions. Poniente is more laid-back and relaxed, with a boardwalk and promenade, and excellent access for wheelchair users. Don’t worry about struggling to find a spot, because there are 4km of sandy beaches in Benidorm so there’s room for everyone.

If you want to escape the crowds and are looking for places to visit in Benidorm that are a little more laid back and relaxed, head out to the smaller surrounding villages such as Finestrat, Albir or Villa Joyosa. You can also hop on a boat trip from Benidorm harbour over to the charming Isle de Benidorm wildlife sanctuary. For some splendid isolation and a chance to relax in the sun for the day without the hustle and bustle of the mainland, the tiny island of Tabarca, just off Alicante, is a must-see.

Holidays to Benidorm are ideal for families, thanks to the sheer number of family-friendly attractions on offer. Have a break from the beach with a visit to Terra Mitica, one of Europe’s biggest and best theme parks that’ll keep everyone happy. Check out the five different themed areas, or pick up the courage to take a spin on one of the best roller coasters in the country.

If your kids love animals, then you can’t do much better than Mundomar, a tropical-themed animal park that’s full of adorable lemurs and brightly coloured flamingos. If you want to give your kids a special treat, why not book them onto a ‘sleepover’ at the park?

Benidorm things to do include plenty of options for water babies. You’ll love the Aqua Natura Waterpark, with age-appropriate rides and slides for the little ones, or more exciting, white-knuckle rides for the older teens.

Places to visit

Want a bit of quality time with your partner? Hop over to Benidorm Island for a picnic in gorgeous surroundings. It might be just 3.5km off the mainland, but ‘The Rock’, as it’s also known, is a million miles away from the clubs, bars, and attractions in Benidorm. It’s a wildlife haven and the perfect spot for some solitude and relaxation.

Back on the mainland you’ll find the charming Old Town; the real heart of Benidorm. This slice of authentic Spanish life encourages you to slow down, relax, and take things easy. If you’re here with your partner for a romantic break, it’s a gorgeous spot for some ‘together’ time. Take a leisurely stroll around the Old Town in the evening until you stumble across a nice tapas bar, where you can enjoy a candlelit dinner.
