Sorbas caves

Take the one hour drive from Mojacar to discover the magnificent caves near the town of Sorbas; they can be found in the protected area of Yesos de Sorbas, which is a paradise for plants and wildlife. Enjoy the green countryside before you delve underground to explore the maze of caverns and caves (cuevos de Sorbas) in their natural state.

See the preserved stalagmites, stalactites, rare minerals and rock formations and then navigate your way through the unlit passageways, crawl along rock floors and wade through pools. You don't have to be an expert in caving, as each route is tailored to a different level of difficulty and tours are led by an experience guide. They can take up to five hours to complete and sturdy walking shoes are recommended.
