Puerto Del Carmen – Weather
Puerto del Carmen is located on the southeast coast of Lanzarote. The resort enjoys a lovely year-round warmth with constant sunshine and clear blue skies. The mountains in the centre of the island provide shelter to the region from east trade winds and cooler temperatures. Winter is fairly mild and Puerto del Carmen weather is around 14°C from December to February. The rainy season in Puerto del Carmen begins in December, which means there’s a steady increase in rainfall with around 27mm spread over the month.
Spring is a lot warmer than previous months with an average temperature of 17°C in March that increases to 23°C in May. Cloudy skies are common towards the beginning of the season, but you’ll still enjoy up to ten hours of sunshine per day.
Summer is the best time to visit with temperatures in Puerto del Carmen reaching the high-20s. The sea is also warm and perfect for swimming in the summer, with an average water temperature of 22°C. Rainfall is low in autumn with around 3mm in September and 17mm in November. With its mild temperatures and dry weather conditions, autumn is the best time to visit for outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking and sunbathing.
