Playa Blanca – Weather
Located on the southern tip of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Playa Blanca is a lovely resort with sheltered beaches and a beautiful climate. If you want to enjoy the hottest weather, visit Playa Blanca in summer.
Much of Playa Blanca’s weather is influenced by its proximity to North Africa. The Canary Islands are in the Gulf Stream and are in the path of easterly trade winds that help keep temperatures warm and pleasant throughout the year.
Playa Blanca weather is warm in spring without feeling too hot. Temperatures are around 19°C with scorching highs of 23°C in May. The days are long and sunny with up to 11 hours of daylight per day and just a few light showers scattered over the season.
If you want hot weather for the beach, summer is the best time to travel. Temperatures range from 22°C in June to highs of 28°C in August. Cooling breezes blow in from the sea and help to moderate temperatures and humidity levels from rising too high.
Temperatures in Playa Blanca are mild in autumn and winter. October has an average daily temperature of 22°C that drops to 17°C in January and February. December is the wettest month of the year with 33mm of rain over eight days.
