See the yachts at Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca
Every upmarket resort needs a stylish marina, and the Marina Rubicon is Playa Blanca’s. With lots of choice for dining and shopping, it’s not just a place for the rich and famous to fly into by helicopter before boarding a luxury yacht; although if you’re lucky you might get to see them do just that. Most people, however, arrive by foot or bike along the promenade.
There are designer shops, an art gallery and a popular craft market twice a week (Sundays and Wednesdays), so you should be able to pick up some great souvenirs. You can take a break from shopping at one of the waterside cafés and bars, the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the view. And if you pause on one of the wooden bridges, you’ll see lots of fish swimming in the clear blue water.
With bars and restaurants open late, Marina Rubicon is also a lovely place to spend the evening in Playa Blanca. For live music, delicious food and a surprising array of gins, try the Blue Note Jazz Bar, which is highly rated by TripAdvisor reviewers.
