Like the rest of Menorca and the Balearic Islands, this resort enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate. That means long, hot dry summers and very mild winters, with the sunniest weather in July and August. Sea temperatures are normally in the low to mid-20s °C from June until October, which is much warmer than what you would experience in the UK. In fact, it's common to see people swimming in the sea in November, when the water temperature is often several degrees higher than that off the English south coast in high summer.
Beach lovers: Soak up the Spanish sunshine on one of the golden beaches. If you get a chance, take a stroll on the beautiful beaches of Cala Presili and Cala Tirant.
Explorers: If you’re feeling adventurous you can take a hike up Mount Toro, the tallest hill in all of Menorca. While you catch your breath, enjoy the stunning views around you. This holiday resort’s also surrounded by beautiful coastline paths and countryside walks for you to explore.

While it's always useful to have a Spanish phrase book or download an app during your holidays to Arenal De En Castell, you’ll find that English is widely spoken in most hotels. Between June and September, Menorca celebrates a series of spectacular fiestas, which include special horse processions, concerts, fireworks, and plenty more family festivities.
One of the most popular is the Festes de Sant Joan in Ciutadella in late June, while another is the fiesta of Mare de déu de Gràcia in Mahon in early September.
