Palma Nova Nightlife: Bars & Clubs
The Palma Nova nightlife may not have a lot in common with its noisy neighbour Magaluf but, it still provides an excellent atmosphere with plenty of beachside and street bars, where you can enjoy a drink and a dance with your family or friends.
The family-friendly resort of Palma Nova, located on the southwest coast, is one of the most popular on the island of Majorca. Enjoy the beautiful sandy Blue Flag beaches and the lovely Balearic sun in the day, before visiting one of the many bars in the evening for a cocktail.
Banana Joe’s is the most famous Palma Nova club. Catering to an English crowd, you can watch sports during the daytime and relax in the sun. Then when the sun sets, the resident DJ starts playing a mixture of tunes, catering for the different crowds. Just a few doors down is Reflex club, Banana Joe’s sister club. Reflex offers more of a retro theme and tends to get very lively when the sun goes down, opening until the early hours of the morning.
When it comes to the Palma Nova bars, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Offering a family-friendly environment the Stadium Show Bar is a favourite and is the best-known place for live music. Different tribute acts every night with everything from The Jacksons to Robbie Williams, and you can even get up on stage yourself if you fancy a sing-along. Drinks will be slightly more expensive here as you won’t have to pay anything to get in and the entertainment comes completely free.
Il Chiringo is a cosy family friendly beach bar, restaurant and beach club located on one of Palma Nova’s beaches. Enjoy a cocktail in the Mediterranean sun as you look out towards the sea. Due to its prime location, Il Chiringo is a very popular beach bar with a fantastic atmosphere.
One of the friendliest places to be in Palma Nova, Bar Papis is another bar that comes highly recommended. Open until the early hours of the morning you’ll be able to enjoy the delights of their popular cocktails with soft rock live music combined with a fantastic atmosphere.
Palma Nova and Magaluf are separated by just a short promenade which means you’ll have all of Magaluf’s best clubs on your doorstep, so you have the best of both worlds. Cheap bars and a wide range of clubs that stay open well into the night will be waiting for you, so go and enjoy the foam and paint parties. There’s also the BH Mallorca stage which sees some of the world’s best DJs including Martin Garrix and Tiesto play their sets.
The Pirates Adventure show is one of the most popular events on the island. A tale of drama on the seas with captivating hand-picked acrobats and gymnasts, you’ll have pirates flying over your head as you look up, it’s a fantastic choice for a family orientated evening.
