Temperature: Summer average of 16-29°C.

Best time to visit: If you’re looking for the best in sunshine and parties, the best months to go are between July and August. The party season will already be in full swing and the temperature ranges from the high twenties, occasionally peaking in the low thirties. If you’d prefer it cooler and less crowded, head over between March and May, when the mercury’s in the mid-twenties and the clubs are quieter.

  • GETTING AROUND

    By bus: The buses in Ibiza are regular and cheap, with services running between all the major resorts including San Antonio. Buses also operate between Ibiza Airport and the resorts at an affordable price.

    By taxi: Taxis are readily available, with taxi ranks at the airport and in the main resorts. Licensed taxis are white, meter-run and can be flagged down if their red light is on.

    By water taxi: If you fancy heading up the coast and visiting a neighbouring resort, water taxis are on hand to zip you along to the likes of Ibiza Town or Santa Eulalia. The fare is very reasonable for a fun way to get about.

    EVENTS

    For clubbers: The destination is home to some of the biggest and best venues on the club scene. While Amnesia is always a major draw, don’t forget the likes of Ibiza Rocks, which hosts huge parties and major players from the music world, such as Tinie Tempah, Mark Ronson, and Craig David. Ibiza Rocks takes place every week from June until September. San Antonio’s harbour is the launch-pad for Ibiza Rocks the Boat: a pre-gig party on the open sea. 

    Summer festival: July sees the Sunset Strip swarm with music fans coming to see the Ibiza 123 Festival. The season’s biggest event, it takes place over three days, in the resort’s biggest venues and has hosted the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Fatboy Slim, and Pete Tong. Don’t miss out on the after-parties, held at San Antonio’s most prestigious clubs.
