An Ideal Destination for Two

After an early breakfast, start your day exploring the city’s cultural history at the Singapore National Museum. You’ll need the whole morning to examine the impressive collection of artefacts, which means by midday you should have worked up enough of an appetite to enjoy a hearty lunch. Singapore Food Trail is a fun and buzzing place to enjoy authentic Singaporean dishes. Stay a while and soak up the atmosphere before continuing your culture trail at the Asian Civilisations Museum.

Start your day at Gardens by the Bay - a scenic place to walk off your late breakfast or enjoy a romantic stroll. Stay until sunset to enjoy the choreographed light show. And if you’ve still got the energy for more after dinner, make a beeline for the Singapore Night Safari, where you can watch as flamingos and Malayan tapirs snooze just yards from your passing tram.

For a day of fun, head for the spectacular Resorts World Sentosa. From theme parks rides and an aquarium, to gourmet restaurants and world-class shows, there are enough attractions here to keep you busy all day. Arrive in style via the Singapore Cable Car, and relax in elegant surroundings at the chill-out lounge.

After a late breakfast at Singapore’s famous 40 Hands coffee shop, stick around Tiong Bahru and explore all it has to offer. While away an afternoon musing the street art and quirky boutiques, before treating yourselves to a premium cupcake from Plain Vanilla bakery. In the evening, pull on your gladrags and enjoy an evening of premium cocktails and panoramic city views at the trendy 1-Altitude bar.

Hop on a morning bumboat from Changi ferry terminal stand to the nearby island of Pulau Ubin. The ticket price is just a few dollars. Take some time to take in the natural beauty of the island, before continuing on to the Chek Jawa Wetlands. For a romantic experience, rent a couple of bikes and spend the rest of your day exploring the wildlife.

For your culture fix, head to bustling Chinatown. Be sure to look out for the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and the Chinatown Heritage Centre. Once you’ve worked up enough of an appetite, head to the Ah Tai restaurant in the Maxwell Hawker Centre for some of the best chicken rice in the city. Take some time after you eat to explore the exotic food stalls, before an evening of premium cocktails at the legendary Raffles Hotel.

For a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of the city, treat yourselves to a day of relaxation at ESPA in Sentosa. Voted Singapore’s Best Luxury Wellness Spa in 2015, this luxurious retreat is the perfect place for a pampering session. There’s a whole host of unbelievable facilities and award-winning treatments to enjoy – unwind in a crystal steam room, go for a dip in the vitality pool, and indulge in a revitalising massage.

Pull yourselves out of bed for a late breakfast, before heading out for a lazy afternoon at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. With its sumptuous Aroma Garden and hybrid orchards, this UNESCO-listed world heritage site is the perfect place to unwind after a late night. Have dinner at the Halia restaurant on-site, before enjoying a more laidback evening of shishas and cocktails at Singapore’s achingly cool Kampong Glam.

Ride the MRT to Lavender station where you’ll find the Jalan Besar Heritage Trail. You can explore this former swampland yourselves, or hop on a guided tour for a better insight. Stop for a coffee break at Chye Seng Huat, a lovingly refurbished hardware-store-turned-coffee-bar on Tyrwhitt Road, before taking a walk down Singapore’s legendary Pertain Road. Don’t forget to bring your cameras - the intricate shophouses on this street are definitely worth a Facebook post!

Start your last morning off right with a traditional breakfast at Ya Kun Kaya Toast. Continue your day in style, exploring the art stores and boutique galleries on Bras Basah Road. You may want to pick up you some souvenirs to take back home, before winding down your holiday with dinner and drinks at your favourite rooftop spot.
