Nice central hotel

Everyone that worked at the hotel was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good central position. Buffet breakfast is really good with just about everything you could possibly want - a nice mix of hot and cold and also custard tarts. The hotel has two small lifts so occasionally there was a bit of a wait. I did find the hotel pictures a little misleading in that I thought we would have a sofa on our room but the standard rooms don't. That being said the room was a good enough size.

The hotel is in a good central location and only 5 minutes away from the nearest metro station. It is also only a short walk from the main shopping areas and various other attractions. The room was spacious and clean, and came with a TV, safe and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was adequate but the choice was quite limited including hot food and drinks. However, there was still plenty to fill you up for the day. The impression the hotel gives off is higher than its 3-star rating suggests.

I booked our stay directly with the property with a gift box that I had. When we checked in, we realised we've been assigned a room with a twin bed even though I clearly mentioned in our correspondence that we would have preferred a double bed instead of a twin. We called the reception and the answer we got is that they don't have regular double size beds but only french double beds (which would had still been better than 2 twin beds). However, for that night we got blankets for a double french beds and we did our best to keep the beds together. The morning after that before leaving, we spoke again with a different clerk and a room change was offered. We didn't have enough time to pack our stuff since it had to be done by 12..and it wouldn't even had sense for the one night left. Not sure why they didn't offer it in the first place, right after our check in. Another thing that could be improved are the lights in the room: it felt quite dark at any time of the day and some more lights (or even one main one) could give to the room a much more warm and welcoming atmosphere. Apart from that, everything else was ok, we really liked the breakfast buffet which was full of options.
