Morocco’s official language is Darja or Moroccan Arabic, but there are also lots of local dialects. French is spoken by about half of Moroccans. English is becoming more and more popular too, especially in larger cities, resorts and tourist attractions. Locals will appreciate it if you try a few words of Darja though, and some useful words and phrases are listed above.
