Iberostar Waves Founty Beach -All Inclusive

Boasting a seafront location on Morocco's west coast, Iberostar Founty Beach is an All Inclusive hotel, just 1km from Agadir. For those who like to keep active there’s two outdoor pools (plus an additional one for the kids), an indoor pool, gym, football, basketball and beach volleyball. And if that wasn’t enough there’s five golf courses nearby. If you prefer to take it easy there’s beach hammocks, a spa and beauty salon.

The Star Camp programme offers activities and fun for children of all ages. 4-7 year olds can swing around in the monkey rainforest, while 8-12s can get acquainted with the underworld world in the dolphin club. Eager teenagers can join in the surprises at the eagles.

The Mercure buffet restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It includes some local favourites, like salted salmon, plus a range of international dishes. Antares provides an additional option for dinner on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Here, you may opt for a tagine or fish briouats, followed by tasty pastries.

For light bites and beverages there’s the Fountain Snack Bar, open until 6pm. After that take a seat at Orion, where you can enjoy a drink while admiring a view of the sunset over the Atlas Mountains. It remains open until midnight. For a more lively end to the day enjoy a refreshing cocktail, while watching the evening’s entertainment at Cassiopee.

In line with Iberostar’s environmental policy all rooms are free of single use plastics. The standard option includes air conditioning (from May to October), heating (from November to April), a 43” TV, minibar and twin beds. Maybe you’ll choose to pay a little extra to benefit from a pool or sea view. The Family Basic includes a sofa bed, with upgraded options including an additional bed and satellite cartoon channels.

Agadir’s main attraction is its golden beaches but you may also choose to get lost in the magnificent maze that is Coco Polizzi's Medina or view the Berber objects on display at the municipal museum. Being on the doorstep of the desert there’s a wide range of exciting activities you can partake in, including sandboarding, quad biking and camel riding. If you have a head for heights you can go up in a hot air balloon for a bird’s eye view of the Atlas Mountains.
