This hotel is located in the exclusive Marina Vallarta, 5 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the center of Puerto Vallarta, and a short walk from the Marina Vallarta golf course. The hotel is directly beside a beautiful sandy beach just a few minutes from the lively harbor and many shopping and entertainment venues. The hotel has 3 cosy bars, 1 buffet restaurants and 2 à la carte restaurants. Guests will never be bored, thanks to the full daily activity program for all ages, including spectacular evening shows with professional dancers.

My aunt and I went to the Melia Puerto Vallarta, December 6-13, 2022. Neither of us had been to Mexico, or a Melia resort before, and didn’t know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed. It’s an older hotel, but absolutely beautiful!! I felt so at home, as soon as we arrived. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We made friends with a number of the staff there, starting from Check In Elmer and Melissa), Guest Services, (Alberto and Tatiana) Housekeeping, Wait Staff, (Jonathan, Teresa, Jesus, Carlos, just to name a few) not to mention the visitors themselves. I would have no issues travelling solo to this resort. In fact I can’t wait to go back! I’d like to thank Alberto, at Guest Services, for being so helpful, friendly, and so funny!! He’s also the Choreographer for the dancing in the evening entertainment. The staff, didn’t feel like staff to me, not even a little. I felt like we were good friends right away. The Bali beds were awesomely relaxing. The seaside massages were beyond amazing! Listening to the ocean, smelling the ocean air, I felt utterly amazing!! Waking up to that sky every morning and wanting to be out there ASAP was a priority to me, either sitting in the sun, watching the bearded dragons/iguanas or being introduced to the ocean is something I’ll never forget. Releasing baby turtles was such a joyous experience, that we never would have been able to do where we live. Thank you to the staff for making our vacation such a calming, relaxing and rewarding experience. If you are going on excursions or booking anything, I suggest signing up at Guest Service for Melia points. Anything you book through the hotel, gets you points, but it has to be when you book it. Like I said I can’t wait to go back. My aunt and I were talking about returning even at the beginning of our stay there. Thanks again Melia staff/friends/amigo’s.

Great resort, excellent food and service

We had a great time at the Melia. The resort was very clean, the food excellent and the service provided was very good. It's spacious enough that it never feels crowded in the dining areas or the pool area even when at or near capacity. There is a very nice and spacious lobby bar, a delicious Mexican a la carte (highly recommend!), and plenty activities throughout the day for kids and adults alike. Our 4 year old loved the kids club and the staff there were great with the kids. The beach is quieter than many other resorts due to the location on the marina, so there are very few beach vendors (which may be a pro or con depending on your preferences). The water was rough for our whole stay so ocean swimming wasn't an option. We prefer the beaches on other PV resorts we've stayed at, however since Melia has such a great pool area for families it wasn't a big deal for us. Overall we really enjoyed our first stay at the Melia and would definitely go back. Shoutout to the great staff that helped make our stay that much more enjoyable: outstanding service from Emilio every morning in the Palapa restaurant, Roberto for supper in the main buffet restaurant, Eduardo at the omelette station, and the great poolside service from Jerzon!

The customer service is Outstanding. Specially Miguel, Victor, and DANIEL the bartenders are exceptional!! They remember people all through out their stay, and their drink preferences. They go above and beyond every body’ expectations… The installations are continuously being maintained, comfortable, the food is delicious, and all personnel is wonderful…We will be back for sure.
