Ocean Riviera Paradise is a 5 star hotel located on the Riviera Maya seafront, in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean. This 976 room resort boasts five outdoor swimming pools (plus an additional one for the kids), a waterpark, nine restaurants, a spa and a gym. The All Inclusive service is available 24/7, so if you're feeling jet lagged you don’t need to worry about eating at standard meal times.

Little guests aged 4-12 can join the Daisy Club for a fun-filled schedule of activities throughout the day, including a minidisco in the evening. For teenagers there’s a games room equipped with Playstations®, Xboxes®, ping pong and table football. There’s entertainment for grown-ups too thanks to the bowling alley, casino, theatre, cinema and sports facilities, including beach volleyball and the diving centre.

Breakfast is served at the buffet Villa Marina and Amaranto restaurants. Both reopen for lunch, while Amaranto additionally offers a themed evening meal service. For a more formal gastronomic experience there’s the choice of seven a la carte options for dinner. Maybe you’ll go for pasta accompanied by wine at the Italian La Locanda or choose to sample local Mexican cuisine at Margarita. At Pez Vela the chef rustles up dishes using the finest flavours from the Caribbean. While lovers of Oriental food won’t want to miss the chance to eat at Sakura. At the Steak House succulent meat is grilled just the way you like it. While at Route 66 you will be transported back to 1950s America. It also remains open for overnight snacks, so a hamburger at 3am is no problem! Bluemoon is the perfect place for a romantic supper, as only adults are allowed to eat here. Meals at the a la carte restaurants are included as an All Inclusive perk and there’s no need to reserve a table in advance, so you can be as spontaneous as you like.

When you fancy something sweet, there’s Mike’s Coffee, where you can grab a cake accompanied by a hot caffeinated drink or smoothie. For something cooler visit the Ice Cream Parlour, open from 4pm to 11pm. Three of the four swim-up bars offer a snack service, with the Daisy Pool Bar providing child-friendly light bites. There’s numerous places where you can get a refreshing cocktail or milkshake, including on the beach. You may choose to spend the evening relaxing to the musical accompaniment in the Piano Bar, or watching a football match in the Sports Bar.

All suites feature both air conditioning and a ceiling fan, a coffee machine, a minibar (restocked daily) plus a bath and shower. For a more luxurious stay you may choose to book the swim-up room, or treat yourself to your own private Jacuzzi®. For an extra special trip maybe consider a rooftop suite complete with a sun terrace,loungers, and a Jacuzzi®.

Upgrade to Privilege and you’ll gain access to three additional bars, a chill-out terrace and Balinese beds on the beach. You can take it easy thanks to the butler service and benefit from a special tasty lobster or beef fillet dinner (once per stay). In your room you will find a Nespresso® machine and a docking station. Plus, you’ll get a very comfortable night’s sleep thanks to the luxury bed with a pillow-top mattress.

Ocean Riviera Paradise is on the outskirts of Playa del Carmen, with white sand beaches on one side and rainforests on the other. The main thoroughfare, Quinta Avenida, is a lively strip lined with shops, bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The hotel’s under an hour's drive from the city of Cancún, where you may choose to explore the Maya archaeological sites. For those especially interested in learning about the history of the Maya people, a full day trip to Chichen Itza is also possible. But you don’t need to go searching for places to visit, as the Great Mayan Reef is right on the hotel’s doorstep.
