This is not a 4* hotel which it is reported to be in some of the information provided
This hotel is a 2* budget hotel, a hotel which has most definitely seen better days. Positive - Beds comfortable, room, bed linen and towels clean, just a bit tired. Reception staff are very accommodating if you ask for something Problems - no hot water for two of the 3 days we were there. It wouldn't have just been that room. We didn't ask about the hot water the first evening as it had been okay earlier in the morning and we thought it would be okay the next day, which it wasn't but we checked out anyway knowing a hot shower was possible later in the day at home - would have asked about it if we'd been staying longer - cleaning staff would have been aware and I am sure they would have reported it Only one lift in operation, it clanks all the time and is in use all the time day and night and so noisy it is difficult to ignore - if you are of a nervous disposition, be prepared to use the stairs - which are steep and have no hand rails Superior room Tea/coffee - We were given one cup with tea bags, coffee and milk for 2 - despite the obvious that we had used the one cup and left it to be washed and another provided, this didn't happen. hair dryer not working no bulb in the desk lamp You can't drink the hotel water, it comes out all yellow/brown to start with, I was worried cleaning my teeth with it but haven't suffered anything, it just doesn't look very nice. There was no plain, still water in the vending machine Nothing in the mini bar which wasn't switched on Woken at 2am in the morning last day due to arrival of a load of teenagers who arrived in very high spirits - couldn't get back to sleep The breakfast is not good quality, no fresh fruit, the fruit to go with the granola/yoghurt was tinned fruit cocktail. The cooked breakfast was luke warm and not particularly nice - the restaurant has seen better days - but again it is clean and the staff are very pleasant. As long as you don't go with a high expectation - as in a 4* hotel, it's fine. Being of a certain age, I like to be comfortable, I was happy enough to slum it as a younger person but would have liked a bit more of what was advertised now I am over 60 Finally, outside is dark, a narrow street with other dark and narrow streets surrounding it. Being female, I wouldn't have felt comfortable walking there at night alone, fortunately my husband was with me We made the best of our stay despite the above gripes, but it's only fair to warn people that this is not quite as advertised. It's in an ideal location to get to the many bars, restaurants, cafes and shops in Sliema and St Julian's up the road. We also walked from there around the marina to Valletta. As long as you know what to really expect and that it is not as advertised, you can make an informed decision.
The Windsor hotel sliema
We stayed here for 2 weeks in december you get what you oay for. If youre looking for high standard look elsewhere. Tea coffee facilities in the room, and safe which made us feel comfortable. After reading reviews we were quite worried but we decided to give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. Towels were changed daily and staff very helpful. Would recommend for an inexpensive stay
Business Trip
Would like to say thank you to the management and staff at this hotel for the great service. Very cheap but good quality service. Paid a very cheap rate. Good location surrounded by bars and shops. Will be back next summer!!!
