Everything at Round Hill was absolutely spectacular. The staff, the service, the food! I grew up going to Jamaica my whole life and Round Hill is the absolute best. We can’t wait to come back again and again and it’s so close to the airport (less than 30 minutes from the airport) that it’s very easy to!

So confused as to why there are such great reviews and 5stars for this not 5star resort?

Underwhelmed but am trying to understand the big love others have for Round Hill. I, mistakenly, thought this hotel was a 5 star hotel. It is not and is no where close to a 5 star hotel or luxury experience. So I am struggling to understand how TripAdvisor rates it so highly, as a 5 star? No one attempted to know or say my name. I have not had any sort of anticipatory service anywhere I have gone (pool, beach, pool bar). Infact, it is almost the opposite, I have to ask to find and then order food, drink even have the chairs setup. Now, it was very slow when we were here and it seemed as though the staff just were “there” and if you asked, you got service. Underwhelmed would be an understatement. The rooms were nice enough - spilt a/c unit in the room but not the bathroom, which is ok. Elemis products so that was nice. The views are stunning. You can walk the beautiful grounds and appreciate how old and beautiful the property is. Maintenance seems to be deferred in many areas, tiles at the restaurant are popped up, concrete cracked in many places some repaired, some not. The pools are where it shows The most. Concrete is chipping at the small over flow pool(so you walk gingerly) and there are grates missing so you could step into a large hole if you are not paying attention. The kicker is the pool is not heated. So, while you will get a line from the staff that is it “refreshing”, no one enjoyed the pool for any long period of time because it was 70 degrees. Not a Luxury pool experience. There were some lovely staff and the place is very quiet and lovely but for the price I paid (1,000 us/night) plus full meal plan for 2, it comes close to $2,000 night at this price you expect a 5 star hotel experience but that was not the what we got, sadly.

Our rating of Round Hill is Superb hotel, very clean, cozy, luxurious and comfortable. Spectacular bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast is fantastic and natural fruit and delicious pastries. Highlight above all the friendly, familiar and charming treatment of the staff that governs it. Its location is perfect. My wife and I recommend Round Hill as the ideal place for an intimate classy wedding and honeymoon. They treat us like absolutely royalty.
