The kids (and big kids!) will love a day out at Aqualandia Jesolo, it’s Italy’s biggest waterpark, themed on shipwrecks and pirates. There are a whole host of thrill seeking rides for the whole family to enjoy including tube and toboggan slides. If you have older children, dare to go on Captain Spacemaker. Four of you can hop into an inflatable boat to speed down this 42 metre tall drop slide, it’s the tallest slide in Europe and reaches speeds of up to 110 kilometres per hour.
You have to stop by Shark Bay, it’s a wave pool but not like one you’ve ever experienced before. It’s completely themed around the Caribbean with real sand both in and out of the water, it’s the first of its kind! Be careful when walking around not to cross into the Battle Intrigo, anyone can control the water pistols so if the kids are in charge, prepare for a soaking. There’s lots for the smaller ones to enjoy too as the kids’ swimming pool features miniature replicas of the adult slides, they’re just a bit more child-friendly so they won’t feel like they’re missing out.
If you’re not such a big fan of the water, Aqualandia has more to offer than just slides. There are many other fun things to do such as beach volleyball, rock climbing and themed shows on Peter Pan and Pirates.
