Good base for exploring - food let’s it down.
The hotel and its staff are very nice. Room simple but clean and the maid came each morning - not much of a balcony. The swimming pool is great and there’s always sun beds available - best feature of the hotel. There is peroni on draft which is a nice touch and plenty of cocktails to choose from and made well (non-branded). Bar is open 10:30 - 11:30. There is a fairly constant shuttle bus (free) to sorrento but be sure to get there early (10mins) as the bus often left before the designated time. There isn’t much choice for the food specifically dinner and often we found that it was cold, this goes for all meals; this was the let down for the hotel. Lunch is your usual pizza, chips, salad etc and served around the pool area. Apart from the meal times there are no snacks - also no shop on site. There is a bbq night 3 times a week and we found this to be a bit better than the usual buffet. The pastries and deserts were lovely. Free courtesy room upon leaving the hotel - which was great. Overall a great base location for exploring Pompeii, amalfi and Capri but let down by the food - would recommend if you’re not too fussed about the food.
Everything just a bit tired
Like others have said, the hotel is OK, but nothing special. Our room was clean, but tired and in need of a refurbishment. Nice little balcony overlooking the pool. Hotel location was OK, with the useful shuttle bus to Sorrento, or the train if you wanted to go further or get back from Sorrento when the bus didn't run (not expensive). Grounds were nice, with plenty of sunbeds. Lovely fragrance from the orange and lemon trees. But the food is the biggest issue - boring in the extreme. No ice cream available (in Italy!) despite there being children in the hotel. Also the worst coffee you will have anywhere - seemingly made in bulk and left stewing all day. Horrible. One of us needed gluten-free food, and it was like this was a new thing to them. Poor choices, and being marched down the buffet and told 'Yes!' or 'No!' very loudly as each dish was passed. Waiting staff generally helpful. Evening entertainment was very loud - and almost inescapable. I wouldn't recommend - there are plenty of others to pick from.
In the land of great food , this hotel doesn’t deliver
Whilst the staff were great the food was not. It all looked ok but it was tasteless , often cold (eg roasted carrots) . We had sone fantastic meals but not in the hotel and it’s the first TUI holiday where we ate out more than in the ‘all inclusive’ hotel Sadly my wife found reviews going back to 2017 with the same complaints TUI need to get this sorted as the hotel haven’t
