Club Med - Kamarina

Tucked among lush gardens above a golden stretch of beach, rustic Club Med Kamarina is perfect for all-inclusive family beach holidays in Sicily with a focus on delicious cuisine and unforgettable times spent together.

Ancient beauty

Recharge your batteries in the shade of the olive trees. Named after an ancient Greek city that fell into Roman hands, the Kamarina resort now lies in a charming village blooming with bougainvillea at the southernmost extremity of Sicily’s coast, under the brooding shadow of Mount Etna.

Club Med Kamarina is a mecca of sport, wellness and serenity. You'll love the Amazing Family Time programme, dedicated to giving kids and parents the chance to play and relax in a rustic Sicilian holiday village by the sea.

Hunt for treasure together, take on a water obstacle course as a team or chill out with family yoga. Wander down to the beach and leave shore with a sailing academy, venture into the olive trees and fly on the trapeze, then enjoy an evening of Sicilian cuisine and entertainment.

Now a national park, Mount Etna is Europe’s largest active volcano with a surprisingly varied terrain to explore. You can take a slow sightseeing train around the many small towns dotted around it or the cable car which stops only 400 metres from the crater’s accessible summit.

Travel to the upscale tourist town of Taormina with plenty of attractions, including its 3rd century amphitheatre, Il Teatro Greco, streets lined with high-end boutiques and dressy wedding parties. The ancient Greek colony of Syracuse and the island of Ortygia are also lively places, packed with pleasant piazzas, Baroque buildings and countless fascinating archaeological sites and museums.

Italian luxury

In the heart of a Mediterranean garden, you’ll find a modern hotel. Each room opens out onto a balcony. Lie back and soak up the sun, breathing in the scent of the plants and the sea. Then saunter up to the Roof Garden bar at the top of the hotel for some locally sourced olives and San Bitter, a traditional Italian aperitif.

The Nightclub bar is a feast for the eyes and the palate. Situated in the centre of the Resort, this large restaurant welcomes both adults and kids, and serves tasty, colourful themed buffets where local produce takes pride of place.

Il Trinacria offers delicious international cuisine, wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff make this a great choice for and there's no extra charge for the sea view. The Cavallo is a ‘trattoria’ style restaurant serving delicious antipasti, pasta dishes, salads as well as pizzas cooked over a wood fire. If you love seafood then The Dunes is the place – only open in the evenings, your taste buds will be able to sail away.

When you’re not eating or playing, treat yourself to a Club Med Spa by DECLÉOR package. The power of 100% natural and 100% active Essential Oils provides the benefits of aromatherapy through specific rituals.

Kamarina is fantastic

Nov 2021 | Meander824717

We spent 1 week in Kamarina and it was a wonderful week. The chef du village and his deputy were omnipresent and gave every guest special attention. You could feel they did their job with a lot of dedication. Thank you for the sports (catamaran, tennis, aquagym) , animation, delicious dishes, and pleasant atmosphere!

Rained non stop

Nov 2021 | 711kirillp

We have been to this resort twice before when the kids were younger, and it is great when sunny and warm. This time we booked October half term thinking it would still be ok. Unfortunately it rained non stop with temp as low as 16 so really could have stayed in London. When it rains the resort really struggles to cope as most sports are closed, pool and beach too cold and the the spa has capacity of 10-12 people so no chance of getting there. GOs were trying to put a brave face on it using the bar to maximum but really not much fun being stuck in the room, which are very basic with poor or no internet. Don’t go late October. Equally, speaking to GOs who were finishing their season, don’t go in late July/ August when temp could be above 40. With changing weather patterns I can imagine that Sicily will se even more extreme weather.

First Family Holiday with our baby

Oct 2021 | Ana-Louro

Wonderful experience, everything we had wished for! Can't wait to go back next year, to Kamarina or any other Club Med :D All the GOs are amazing, but the trapeze team was the best - professional, friendly and super enthusiastic!
