Cabo de Rama Fort in Goa

Visit the Cabo da Rama Fort to see the remains of the ancient prison, dried moat and fortress walls. The structure can be found on top of a dramatic cliff face and was named after the Hindu god of Ramayana, Rama. It was used a prison up until about half a century ago when it was owned by the Portuguese in 1763.

There's not much left of the historical structure, but what makes the trip worthwhile are the breathtakingly beautiful views. Find a shaded spot under a coconut palm and enjoy the views of the shimmering coast in the peaceful surroundings.
