Golden Sun Resort & Spa is a luxury adults-only complex in Kalamaki, on the southern coast of the Greek island of Zante. The beach is just 150m away, where you'll find long stretches of sand, with views of mountainous scenery along the coastline. It is surrounded by the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, boasting acres of evergreen trees and nests of loggerhead sea turtles.

All rooms provide the ultimate luxury being a large 34m2, with a sea view. If you like to swim choose the private pool option, if you prefer to relax go for the Jacuzzi. There’s also all the facilities you would expect at a 4 star hotel such as WiFi, a TV, a safe, a minibar and a hairdryer.

Guests choosing the private pool option, will still have access to the Jacuzzi in the spa, which also boasts a heated pool and a Hammam. For a more personal touch you can book a relaxing treatment from the menu.

The a la carte restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet romantic evening meal while devouring the chef’s specialities. It is also open for breakfast and lunch. Afterwards, maybe visit the cocktail bar, where you can have a peaceful drink or play a competitive game of billiards or darts. The poolside bar offers refreshments such as coffee, orange juice, ouzo and light bites from morning until late, maybe just what you need after a swim.

The island of Zante has a rich cultural history, with plenty of attractions to explore such as museums, ancient ruins, monasteries and the picture-postcard Blue Caves. For those partial to a drink made from fermented grapes, there’s opportunities to visit local wineries and taste the produce, as well as a museum exhibiting the history of the winemaking produce. If you prefer to be active horse riding and go karting are available options. If you’re a spontaneous traveller and don’t want to make plans in advance, the hotel staff will be happy to assist with booking excursions after you arrive in Greece. You won’t face a long transfer after your flight, as Zakynthos Airport is just five minutes drive away.
