Avaton Resort & Spa

Avaton Resort and Spa Hotel is a luxury, adults-only hotel in the village of Imerovigli on the island of Santorini. The rooms and buildings are decorated in typical Santorini style, with whitewashed exteriors and light, fresh interiors featuring colourful accents. The restaurant is open for three meals a day, offering local cuisine in the evening and plenty of outdoor seating on the terrace for an al fresco dinner. You can book a champagne breakfast if you wish. If you fancy something lighter, the snack bar is open until late. The outdoor pool is an infinity pool, with a view onto the sea and coastline below, and has its own waiter service so you needn't leave your lounger. If you want to pamper yourself, you can book a spa treatment. These include both massages and beauty treatments such as facials. There's also a Turkish bath and a sauna. If you venture out of the hotel, you'll find yourself in Imerovigli village, known as ""the balcony to the Aegean"" and popular for its impressive views of the Santorini volcano and its dramatic sunsets. You're also a short drive from the island's capital, Thira, which is known for its blue-domed roofs and winding streets.

Avaton Resort & Spa is 400m from the centre of Imerovigli, perched on the highest point of the caldera cliffs. You can visit the village's churches and chapels, such as the chapel of Panagia Theoskepasti, built on the cliff edge in front of Skaros and offering a panoramic view. The island's capital, Thira, is 3km away. It's sleepy in the daytime and lively at night, with plenty of places to sip a drink or enjoy a dance. Your nearest beach, the Blue Flag Kamari beach, is 12km away at the foot of the Santorini volcano. The beach is known for its volcanic black sands.

The a la carte restaurant at Avaton Resort & Spa is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and serves Mediterranean cuisine. The bar offers snacks, light bites and a selection of drinks, including international alcohol brands.

Avaton Resort & Spa has a heated indoor pool and a hydrotherapy pool. Kamari beach has a promenade where you can go for an evening stroll.

The hotel's light, airy rooms all have Wi-Fi access, satellite TV channels and year-round air conditioning. Each has a balcony or terrace.
