Best hotel we ever been so far

This is so far the best hotel we ever been to. There are many beautiful hotel in Santorini but this one is just AMAZING. What makes it so special : the intimacy ! Like others hotels with Caldera view, you breathtaking view on the sunset and Caldera....but no one can see you in the swimming pool or in your private jacuzzi. I spent lot of time on internet looking for that special place where we could enjoy one of the most beautiful sunset in the world while feeling to be alone, and this is what we experienced in the bedroom n°5 (the one that is the very last one before the swimming pool). Few steps to go to your bedroom but definitely it worth it. The jacuzzi is hot, the staff is friendly and make everything perfect for you. We will come back for sure !

Very good but slightly missed the mark

We stayed at Andronis Honeymoon on Santorini for three nights (October 18-21). Our room was very nice and we really enjoyed the comfy loungers on the private balcony as well as the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi wasn't as warm as we'd like initially but the bell boy turned up the heat for us when we checked in and it was fine after that. We didn't understand that there are really no "common areas" on this property other than the pool area, and that is quite small. It's really more of a plunge pool and there are just two double loungers next to it. There is no dining room, no cafe, no lounge area, etc., just a very small office typically manned by one person. We missed those amenities a bit but it wasn't a huge deal for us. The view is what a person goes to Santorini for, and Andronis Honeymoon offers a beautiful view of the caldera. We watched the sunset from the jacuzzi each night and loved that! There are definitely steps involved at this property, as with anywhere on Santorini! It was 161 steps to get from the upper street to our unit so this is not for people with mobility issues, but I can't imagine there are many properties on the island that would offer fewer steps. It's just the way it is on the island! Breakfast is served on the private balcony and you put in your order and what time you want it served the night before. It was a bit chilly in the morning since we were there during shoulder season but it was still enjoyable to eat on the balcony. There is no restaurant or cafe onsite at this hotel so balcony dining is what is offered. There was plenty to eat and breakfast was tasty.:) So where did this property miss the mark? We checked in on Friday night and had no internet so notified the office and were told the technician couldn't come until at least Saturday. On Saturday, we still had no internet so called the office again and left a message when no one answered. At the same time, we asked for additional bottled water. We were told to only drink bottled water on the island but were only supplied with two 16 oz. bottles of water. We didn't get a response to our phone message so when we were heading out for the day we stopped in the office but found no one there. We finally went to a store in town and purchased bottled water to get us through the weekend. We never received a return phone call from the office. On Sunday, an employee we'd never seen before (a manager perhaps??) saw us as we headed to the pool and gave us a bottle of wine to make up for the lack of internet all weekend and asked if there was anything else we needed. I asked about additional water and was quickly given two large bottles.. Honestly, while the lack of internet was a hassle at times, what bothered us was the lack of response, especially with the water. If we're not supposed to drink the water, then it seems an expensive property such as this should supply as much of it as is necessary, and do so in a timely manner (before we have to go to a store and purchase it). It was as though there was no management on the property all day on Saturday, since we got no phone response nor a personal response all day that day. However, the gentleman on Sunday was quite helpful.

Home away from home!

When my (now) husband and I were planning our honeymoon we were nervous to travel so far from home, only to discover that at Andronis Honeymoon we were at home! The staff was absolutely amazing and catered our every need! We could not be more grateful to the staff for making our stay unforgettable. The staff even provided super glue when the sole of my sandal came undone!!! Santorini truly captured our hearts but it would not have been complete without the care and attention we received at Andronis Honeymoon. Again, thank you!
