St Pauls Bay
Hire a car or take a boat trip, and discover one of the most picturesque beaches on the entire island of Rhodes; St Paul’s Bay. As you arrive, you’ll notice the bay’s carefully-preserved, natural beauty. Enclosed by rocky cliffs, the turquoise waters are teeming with marine life, making it a great spot for snorkelling and scuba diving.
If relaxing is more your style, grab a book and relax on a lounger in the warm sunshine. Cool off with a paddle or gentle swim in the shallow, calm sea, or take a stroll to one of the local waterside tavernas for a refreshing drinks and delicious Greek mezes.
Once you’ve soaked up the sun, take a walk up the cliff-side where you can explore the magnificent Acropolis of Lindos, one of the most popular archaeological sites in Greece. It’s a bit of a trek, but well worth the climb; just remember to take plenty of water. Alternatively, save your legs and take a traditional donkey ride to the top, where you’ll have fantastic views of the bay.
Afterwards, step back in time as you wander through the car-free, cobbled streets of Lindos. Among the whitewashed houses and historic buildings, you’ll catch sight of a few donkeys, and perhaps even a wedding or two. With its striking views and traditional appearance, including a labyrinth of narrow streets designed to confuse wayward pirates, St Paul’s Bay is one of the most popular places to get married in Rhodes. After your visit, you’ll understand why.
