Could be better…… you get what you pay for
Unless your French or speak good French do not go to this hotel. We only went for a fly and flop and this was acceptable for this. If you want entertainment then no this is not for you. Good points; Beach - although shingle - we knew this prior to going out so took beach shoes - sea is amazing. And worth the 5 min walk down to this. 2 ways of getting down a set of rocky steps or a dry mud path both ways are fine as long as you are mobile enough to walk. Negative point regarding the day on the beach - there is a beach bar WHICH IS NEVER STOCKED! 2 girls behind the bar said they did not want to carry the drink down from the top so they just sat there all day behind the bar doing nothing so yes was a long walk up and down to get drinks. We asked everyday for beer and even offered to go get it and carry down but nope too much effort. Finally after shouting in our last day they did go get some drink! Food was all ok. You did have to chose carefully as some food was stone cold but found something everyday to eat and enjoy. Drinks were all on tap and again the beer tap never seemed to work but again all inclusive does not include cocktails. You do pay extra for these but they are nice and worth the money …… except they are advertised at €650 and then when we checked out all of a sudden had tax added on! Rooms were basic but fine for a week. Only real issue was the bathrooms could do with extra clean and the shower was useless. Wouldn’t stay on the wall and water could only trickle out. But was cleaned everyday. Never sat round the pool as was like sardines in a can. Also very very loud here with the entertainment for the French! Staff don’t really talk to you either if you are British. Gym was a joke. No indoor pool as advertised However I did have 2 massages whilst here and they by far were the best ever had. Worth the money and chill time and lovely lady. Summing up the holiday ; for what we wanted it was fine, for what we paid again was fine. Just a few tweaks and this could have been a fantastic holiday
Great relaxing week at Sunrise Beach Hotel
We booked this holiday at short notice and I then read some of the Tripadvisor reviews. I really do think some people need to get a reality check! This is a 3 star hotel and in terms of holiday cost is not expensive. Yes it is full of French but that was not an issue for us. The hotel is clean, the staff are great and we thought the food was, for a 3 star all inclusive hotel, perfectly acceptable - especially if you love Greek salads and all the Greek side dishes. However we felt the best part of the hotel was its beach. It is pebbles but it is spotlessly clean, the sea was warm and in the main it was pretty much deserted. We loved it. This is a lovely part of Greece and if you do go out for an evening meal - a taxi to the nearest town was 6 euro - you can find a taverna and get a two course meal plus a litre of wine for around 30 euro per couple. Astonishing value.
Resort is for the French....dumped by Jet2 in resort.....only go if you want a quiet holiday with no one to talk to
Jet2 have only just took on this hotel, so don't expect anything from them in the way of support. You get a hello at the airport & that's it. You are dumped at the hotel & unless you put in complaint, you wont see anyone. If youre French youve got it made! All entertainment is in French & for the other tour operator. Jet2.....heres a map.....thats it...... Although the hotel was very clean, we found the food good, exactly as you would expect from all inclusive holiday. The few tours that are available are over priced so find a local taxi guy and get there yourselves. Lots of ants in hotel room, and when we told reception on the 1st day, they shrugged their shoulders.... We bought ant killer, and once we'd complained to jet2 rep on phone, we hot offered room move.....pretty pointless halfway through the holiday..... The receptionist and var people were all over the French guests, and only smiled on the day we were leaving.... Pool is nice, beach is lovely but take beach shoes as all gravel, don't expect entertainment its just a sit & chat type of place....unless youre French....
