Very different experiences in different parts of the Club Med)

May 2022 | Elena_Pierre

We were very impressed with the great location and great territory. Very nice and friendly staff at different activities locations; decent food, although, as often in Club Meds, overcrowded stands: there are always lines for food. A very fun photography team and a very nice girl at the infirmerie. Great teams at the circus and waterski schools. (My kids were only sad that there was no possibility of private lessons in circus :)). BUT: a lot of issues in the room (things not working; breaking; etc), fairly badly working reception staff (i.e.for the luggage pickup, we called and came up 4 times, until the luggage people themselves told us they did not get any info from the reception. The whole process took 1h and a half). And be careful with things: we left our bathing suits at the pool, planning to come back later; then my child got sick and we came back only towards dinner - the pool was closed, things were not there. After 5 circles around the Club Med in the morning, my kids' clothes were found at the pool bar...but mine were not there. As it was a memorable present from my husband, I tried asking everyone (reception even promised to search but it was clear they would not do), nothing was found.

Enjoyable stay especially for families with kids

The location is beautiful, our rooms were comfortable (there are different styles of rooms; some in a large building and others in smaller two-floors buildings amongst the pine trees near the beach) but we spent little time in our room. I think most if not all rooms come with a terrace or balcony. The food and locations of the restaurants are good (not everything is good but you can always find something that you like because of the variety). The shows were of good quality and the go team very friendly and dedicated, including the sport instructors (I did tennis and archery). Between activities, meals and shows the time goes very quickly, but we occasionally enjoyed laying on the comfortable deck chairs on the beach; it's possible to walk quite far along the beach to a spot where we were almost alone. We did a nice walk in the walking paths in the nearby mountain and enjoyed the seaview. We went to the boat trip excursion in the seals island which was nice, with a tasty meal including wine and grilled octopus, but the activities are a bit on the expensive side and there is already so much to do in the resort. If you come during school holidays in France you will probably have many families with kids, which you may or may not like. At the end of the school holidays the resort occupation went from full to less than half-empty. As a result the go were very attentive to the few gm lefts, and the size of the groups for the sport activities reduced drastically which i liked (the kids in the archery were slowing the whole group down and some parents insist to have their kids with them at their sport activity). Some schedules (like for the specific tennis groups by level) are displayed ONLY near the activity, not on the general boards nor on the app, so I advise you to be present on the first day to choose your groups according to your level, and pay attention to the starting time (some advanced level group start a bit early, but usually everyday at the same time) If you don't arrive/leave during the weekend you may not have the welcome/farewell events 'synchronised' with your stay and some activities may not be available. The weather was ok but with a chilly wind; i think a good time to come is mid june or later although the sea water may still be too cold without a wetsuit.

Unbelieavable arrogance and extremely unprofessional and dangerous speed boad drivers

May 2022 | ariadni65

This property - although located in a very nice area- has hired unprofessional personel The drivers of the speedboat are dangerous and do not respect their position, the property's fame or the clients of the hotel. They are driving the speed boats without any precautions, speeding like crazy within the marked swimming area as if they are in the open sea. We could not swim due to the above. This is unacceptable and very provocative. It is imperative that the property's manager takes immediate action.
