Stalis – Weather
Located on the north coast of Crete, Stalis enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate with high temperatures and plenty of warm sunshine throughout the year. Summer begins towards the end of May when temperatures rise to 22°C during the day before rising to 26°C in June. The weather is expected to be particularly hot in July and August when temperatures in Stalis reach highs of 28°C.
For swimming and water sports, summer is ideal. The sea is warm with an average temperature of 20°C, which is perfect if you want to cool down and enjoy a swim in the turquoise sea waters.
If the heat is too much for you, visiting in spring and autumn is a great choice. Averages are usually in the high-teens with warm weather and up to 11 hours of sunshine.
Winter weather in Stalis is quite mild and enjoyable during the day with an average daily temperature of 14°C. At night, it gets cooler and temperatures often drop as low as 8°C between December and February.
