Anissa Beach

Anissa Beach Village is a family-friendly hotel in Anissaras on the northern coast of the Greek island of Crete. This peaceful spot is part of a stretch of coastline from Kokkini Hani to Malia. The hotel is steps from the sandy beach of Anissaras, where you can swim, relax on a sun lounger, or enjoy views of the Aegean Sea and mountainous coastline. Hersonissos also has many local restaurants where you can taste traditional Greek food such as fresh feta salads, dolma and grilled kebabs. For something sweet, you can pop into one of the local bakeries for some baklava pastries. For day trips, you can stroll in the villages of Ano Hersonissos, Piskopiano and Koutouloufari, trek in the gorges of Avdou valley or visit the rural Lassithi Plateau. The Crete Golf Club is a short drive of 5km from Anissa Beach Village if you'd like to play golf during your break. To explore more of the island, a drive of 26km takes you to Heraklion, a port city and the capital of Crete. Ammoudara Beach is in the area, as well as national parks and museums.
