Unbelievably poor service
This hotel no longer offers room service… ok so a little disappointing, but hey, you can order in! So to do that you need cutlery and plates right? Hmmm so rang reception… no answer, rang again, no answer. Rang again, third times a charm… was promised plates were on their way. An hour later nothing. So off I trot to reception to speak to them face to face, and the young lady kindly fetches some items for me. Go to have a shower… towels as big as handkerchiefs, and just as thin. Ring housekeeping for additional towels and pillows answer (ever)… oh I know… I’ll try their app… no response. Then try and ring reception again… no answer. Have rung 10 times now, nothing, and can’t go downstairs as I’m dressed for bed. Singularly the poorest service I’ve ever experienced!
Far off usual Steigenberger standards. Best avoided.
Stayed as a family of 3 for 3 nights in December 2022. Multiple issues 1) Rooms were far too warm and no matter how low the control panel was set it was 23C throughout. It took 2 nights to get the technical team back from Christmas to fix this. Guests need control over their room temperature. If I set 20 or 17 that's what I expect. Otherwise why is there a control panel I the first place. 2) the breakfast room is far too small for peak occupation. It was also not ventilated due to the same issue as the rooms apparently. This led to very warm and stuffy air. Covid and flu having a field day. Multiple guests were rightly concerned. 3) when checking out the receptionist tried to charge me over 25% more. The booking was made on the steigenberger website and I indicated this when checking in. This was fixed but the bill was 2 cents more than agreed and said 2 cents cash on the invoice. I don't care about the 2 cents but how can a booking system not reflect the exact rate but plug it with 2 cents cash. I should not have to correct the booking with the rate I booked on their own website. What is worse is thst when I pointed out that the charge and ratew was wrong the receptionists attitude was very poor. Rude, arrogant and borderline aggressive. I asked him (Mr K) to have the hotel manager call me. Overall very different to my experience is other properties especially the steigenberger park Hotel Dusseldorf. Staff there and service overall is professional and courteous. Let's see if the hotel manager will call when back from holiday now.
Bad hotel, I Will Nederland Come back
very bad hotel, no customer service... especially looking for a hotel for relaxation with a bathtub in the bathroom. contacted the hotel and it was agreed that we booked this. once Checked in we appear to have a room without this facility. complaint, show that it is by mail that promises us a room with bath. but unfortunately. people shrug their shoulders, money is in, don't expect any further service. Never again to such a bad hotel ... weekend is ruined !!!
