Great hotel , excellent service. Very well kept rooms with good facilities. Service in bar and breakfast restaurant very efficient and friendly. Particular mention for Gurvinder Singh at the front desk , extremely helpful and efficient.

Grand Turkish hotel with nice rooms and bf and just a few glitches

I was booked into this hotel for three nights as it was very close to two of my main appointments and reasonably close to a third. It is in the true historic Mitte, but Berlin is large, and to mass transit, I found you have to always walk a little bit more from here than is desirable in cold, wet February. Titanic is an upscale Turkish chain, and I've stayed with them before in Istanbul. There is this Gran Seraglio deco in Turkish five-stars, and this one has it, too, especially in the lobby - something I enjoy, and it gives the house character over the other chains. It also comes back to one during breakfast, which is a spectacular five-star affair with really good eggs on order, croissants, etc., but also with Börek and honey from the comb and other Turkish specialties. Staff was courteous and prompt throughout, if sometimes the junior level a bit helpless, but these days in Germany with the Fachkräftemangel, one is happy for anything above bare functionality, and this is much better. The one point I would have wished for is that the maids would have cleaned the room, and replaced textiles, a bit more thoroughly. Very nice bed, enough plugs, fine light, good curtains. My problem with the room was that the heat happens via aircon, which is anyway problematic - but this needed a while to be fixed until it worked and kept the room warm, which was crucial at this weather. I was first offered a really bad room but when asking for something else, was assigned a very nice upper floor place with a lovely view towards Gendarmenmarkt and real quietude. So, this is really between five and four stars, but I would say heat, cleanliness and location just prevent five. That said, this is a genuine five-star at competitive prices smack downtown Berlin Mitte, and with a really lovely Turkish vibe and friendly staff. I easily might come here again.

Perfect location in Mitte for Unter den Linden, Brandenburg gate, Opera House. Checkpoint Charlie, TV Tower. All a couple of minutes walk max. Real East/West intersection. Hotel clean and pretty opulent. Rooms nicely appointed and very reasonably priced for a Capital City. Great and welcoming service throughout. Highly recommended.
