Our stay
We have just finished our holiday at your resort and we would like to raise a formal complaint in relation to the same. Firstly, we would like to address the positives about our stay! Our room inside was lovely and the view of the pool was stunning. The staff were all great apart from the ‘director of problems’ which I will get onto later in this email. The facilities appeared to be great. However it was disappointing that hardly any of them were in use! Onto the negatives. We only booked our holiday around about two weeks before departure based on the Instagram posts and recent trip advisor reviews. However, when we arrived this is not what it appeared to be on social media. Whilst the entertainment team where brilliant with our little boy, the events programme was repetitive with the same events each evening, we feel this should be altered on a two week rota so that those staying for two weeks experience a wider variety of events on an evening. The main stage near the beach was not in use and all entertainment was held at the front of the hotel. There was no foam parties, pool parties and not even all of the slides were in use. We appreciate this is due to the fact that the hotel is not busy this time of year but it should stipulate online that activities and entertainment is limited during this period. Moving on to the location of our room, we had been put in a room opposite a building site with works being done to the top of the hotel room block opposite our room, we do not appreciate being woke up early hours by construction workers and it is definitely not safe for the workmen to be throwing bricks/dust off the top of the site while people are walking past, especially with small children! Every day since we have arrived we have been awake early due to the noise of the construction work, with our 2 year old who really does need his full nights sleep! We believe this area should have been closed off and visitors in this block should have been placed into a different room away from the works. This really spoilt the holiday for us and should we have known at the time of booking that construction works would be carried out, we would have never of booked this hotel! Having a toddler, we loved the thought of the children’s area in the water park for our boy. However, the slides in this area were not useable as they were all being painted. Again, nowhere online advised that the hotel was having work done, again if we had known we would have not booked this hotel! Online it states that the hotel has multiple restaurants and upon arrival we were told there is only 1 main restaurant open and one Al la carte. Again, this was not stipulated online. My son and I attended the Tuscany restaurant on our last night and was interrupted by the ‘problems director’ asking us to write a trip advisor review whilst I was in the middle of eating my dinner! How rude!! When writing the review, I chose to give it four stars and she stopped me and asked for 5. No wonder the reviews online are all so good if she is stood over watching you write them! Again, if we had known that this is how the reviews are wrote we would not have read them and would not have booked this hotel. Our first day, my little boy stood on a spring in the baby pool opposite the gardens. We did report this to the rep who followed the correct procedure and ensured the baby pool was cleaned. The day after, in the heated baby pool half a broken tile was laid at the bottom of the pool, which was fixed straight away! But again, unacceptable. Also, hygiene is not great. We’ve had a mattress outside of our room for a number of days. No wonder we are all covered in bites!!!! Completely unacceptable
I would not recommend this place tbh
Tbh I am quite disappointed with this holiday after coming with friends when we could not rate our last visit to Egypt high enough. I am quite embarrassed that I suggested my friends and his family to come. The sea beach resort is a in my opinion a budget holiday and get what you pay for tbh. There is building work going on as I write this as I'm still here and have a 4 days left personally pay a bit more and make sure you go with British reps as in tui first choice etc. The food has not got a big selection at all and I'm sick off eating scrambled egg for breakfast and eating pizza and chips for dinner which is a fight to get your position in line as other people are rude to ignore queuing system (not the british). The place is like building site through ingredients wheel barrow content to the floor from the 2nd floor creating alot of dust. The water park is open but one side in the morning the other in the afternoon kids pool only parts are open and working correctly . Only ala carte open and waiters are rude tbh.
