Makadi Bay – Weather
Makadi Bay has Egypt’s traditional desert climate with hot and dry weather lasting throughout the year. The sun shines each day, which is great because you can pack your bags and visit the region at any time of the year for warm temperatures and constant sunshine. Summer lasts from April to October with temperatures ranging from 10°C at night to highs of 34°C during the day. Makadi Bay weather is very hot in the summer, with highest temperatures arriving in July and August. The desert climate isn’t for everyone, but if you love the heat and sun, it’s the perfect holiday destination. There’s no rainfall in the summer and you can enjoy up to 13 hours of sunlight a day.
The seawater is bath-like, which means it’s perfect for casual swimming, snorkelling and diving. The average water temperature is around 26°C with highs of 28°C in August.
For slightly cooler weather in Makadi Bay, the best time to visit is in winter, which is between the months of November to March. Temperatures in Makadi Bay are around 21°C to 27°C with night-time lows of 11°C. Rainfall is more likely in winter, but still very rare and unlikely. You’ll have up to ten hours of sunlight a day, giving you plenty of time to enjoy yourself and do some sightseeing and exploring.
