Hurghada – Weather
The weather in Hurghada is very pleasant with temperatures rarely dropping below 20°C. July and August are the warmest months to visit the resort, with temperatures reaching a hot and humid 30°C. Sea breezes near the coast help to cool things down a bit, but it’s still very hot and you’ll need to wear plenty of sun cream to protect your skin from sun damage. Summer begins in May and it’s not unusual for temperatures in Hurghada to rise to 35°C at the hottest time of the day.
The skies are usually clear in spring and summer with not much chance of rain. The sun shines all day in the summer for up to 14 hours a day before decreasing to seven hours a day in January.
Hurghada weather in winter is very mild with temperatures rarely dropping below 12°C at night. During the day, you can expect average highs of 22°C between December and February. Light clothes are needed for the daytime, but you’ll need a jacket at night since there’s such a huge temperature difference between the two.
It’s rare that there’s any rain in Hurghada, so you can enjoy as much sunshine as you like. The city is located near the desert, which contributes to the high temperatures that last all year-round.
