Is it safe to travel to Hurghada?

Can I travel to see the pyramids from Hurghada?

Yes you can take a trip to Cairo by either road or air. The journey by road is around 7 hours or just 1 hour by plane and your Thomas Cook rep can help find the right excursion for you.

What currency should I take to Hurghada?

Any currency is accepted but Egyptian Pounds are preferred, being their own currency.

Can I go scuba diving in Hurghada?

Many hotels have their own dive centres which will be able to provide courses for both complete beginners and experienced divers. If there is no dive centre on site then your Thomas Cook rep will be able to help.

Do I need a visa to travel to Hurghada?

All arriving passengers into Hurghada need a visa regardless of their plans in resort. The visa cost at the moment is $25 (£18) per person including children and infants or $30 (£20) if purchased from the reps on arrival.
