This self-contained, cosmopolitan destination is set in one of the most picturesque locations in the region, covering a series of islands and lagoons connected by canals. White-sand beaches, chic hotels and pristine championship golf courses await, along with boutique shops and high-class bars and restaurants. It’s also one of Egypt’s premier water sports destinations, and a haven for windsurfers, kite surfers and scuba divers. There’s no shortage of sports and beach fun for kids either, making El Gouna holidays perfect for the whole family.

Memorable adventures are plentiful, too, including deserts safaris on quadbikes and jeeps. Head for the harbour to enjoy a fresh fish dish and all kinds of local specialties. You’ll also find stylish shops in this part of town. El Gouna holidays are ideal for kids too, with mini golf, go-karting and boat trips going on all year.
Beach lovers will adore El Gouna’s golden beaches backed by fragrant mangroves for the ultimate spot of relaxation. As the sun beats down, you can enjoy a bit of peace and quiet on the laid-back Buzzha Beach, or dive into water sports down at Mangroovy Beach. It’s arguably the best place in the country for kite surfing. Cool down by taking a dip in the Red Sea.
As well as a sunseeker’s paradise, El Gouna is a golfer’s dream. The resort has its own championship golf course, with 18 holes across immaculate greens and a coastal landscape behind. Suitable for pros and novices alike, you can get your practice in at the driving range. Elsewhere, smart marinas are the place to go for high-class shopping and nightlife. Indulge yourself in trendy boutiques, bustling bazars and local arts and crafts stalls, and refresh at a sophisticated waterfront restaurant. When the sun goes down, a handful of upbeat bars and nightclubs come to live, staying open until late.
El Gouna’s spectacular landscape is made for exploration and adventure. Plan an excursion to the Egyptian desert, and book a trip to cross dunes on a quadbike. Take a sailing trip on a catamaran or glass-bottom boat to get a different view of the underwater delights, if you don’t fancy getting your feet wet! You can even charter a fishing boat if you want to. If you’re travelling with the kids, there’s plenty to keep them entertained beyond the beach.
