Capo Bay

Capo Bay Hotel is a beachfront hotel in the heart of Protaras on the island of Cyprus. Set in landscaped gardens, the hotel has two outdoor pools, one of which is just for adults, and a heated indoor pool. Younger members of the family are catered for with a hotel-run kids' club, playroom and playground, plus a children's section in one of the pools. The beach of Fig Tree Bay is steps from the hotel. Both the beachfront and the centre of Protaras feature plenty of bars and restaurants, and there are clubs you can visit for an evening out. A short drive along the coast to the south, the Capo Greco national park has high cliffs dropping down to the sea and is known for its varied plant life. You can try and spot the 36 species of orchid that grow wild here, or use the remains of an old Venetian lighthouse as a bird-watching hide. You could go scuba diving or take a boat trip to explore the many sea caves. Also within a short drive is the bustling resort of Ayia Napa, where you can explore the ancient monastery, maritime museum and harbour during the day, and enjoy the town's renowned nightlife.

Drive to Limassol and visit the famous Profitis Elias church that. From the grounds of this Greek Orthodox chapel you can see over the whole town. The church itself is decorated with paintings, and local people hang mementos on the Trees of Remembrance outside. The Konnos nature trail is a marked hike that takes in some of the quieter coastline around Protaras, or you could hire a mountain bike from the town to get further afield. A short drive of 9km from Protaras is the traditional Cypriot village of Dherynia, with its folk museum and two Byzantine churches. .

Capo Bay Hotel offers a buffet breakfast. The hotel's outdoor restaurant serves international and Cypriot food for lunch and dinner, while a second a la carte restaurant serves Mediterranean and Asian dishes. There's a third ‡ la carte restaurant where you can get lunch and dinner, as well a bar and a pool bar for drinks.

Capo Bay Hotel has tennis and table tennis facilities, as well as a gym. Adult guests can enjoy the spa, sauna and Turkish bath.

The rooms at Capo Bay Hotel all have a balcony or terrace, air conditioning and a minibar. They also have satellite TV and Wi-Fi.

Good Quality and Super Friendly Staff

We booked Capo Bay for a winter sun break in early November, many hotels in Protaras were closed for the winter. Pre departure communications from the hotel were excellent, clearly outlining COVID measures and offering ability to check in ahead of arrival. We got an upgrade to side sea view room, which was light with working a/c and all usual amenities, including bottled water. Beds were comfortable, but given the time of year, could have benefitted from the addition of a duvet style blanket, even if it’s is kept in wardrobe. Pool area is vast, with two pools and allocated sun bed system was not in force due to low occupancy of the hotel. We were on a bed & breakfast rate, breakfast was adequate but not hugely extensive. Mamas restaurant was fantastic for lunch with usual choices of Greek grilled dishes, salads etc. We did not try Koi Asian themed restaurant, though menu leaned heavily towards sushi, so ate out for dinner each evening. Location is directly on Fig Tree Bay, which has very shallow waters and a small stretch of beach with sunloungers, but these are not exclusive to the hotel. Decor of hotel is light and spacious, though room cleanliness could have been improved slightly when we arrived. What gives this hotel its 4 stars are the staff. Right from check in to departure, all staff are helpful, friendly and down to earth. The manager, Pavel runs a very tight ship and is very chatty with guests, showing a genuine interest in their visit, providing regular walk around and hints/tips on things to see and do. It is these small touches which make a difference and keep guests returning. Superb job Pavel and team.

Fantastic value for money for a beautifully presented and kept hotel. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff all round. Nice bar and lounge areas and very chilled vibe to the place. Good selection of eateries through the day and evening, although the Koi Restaurant is on the pricey side when there are far better places to eat within walking distance. Our two floor apartment with outside veranda Jacuzzi as well as the whirl pool bath and walk in wet room shower being the secondary bathroom, we’re all clean, in good condition and all cleaned spotlessly each day. The all inclusive breakfast was also a nice change from the usual breakfast buffets again with a great selection of freshly topped up and nicely prepared fresh produce. The hotel facilities have something for everyone. For the price of staying here, I can highly recommend this hotel. Congratulations to the management and staff for a great hotel experience and providing fantastic value for money.

Capo Bay Cyprus

Hotel is situated on one of the best beaches in Cyprus. Personally we don't like huge hotel complex but, to be honest, Capo Bay surprised us as one of the best experiences so far concerning service of the staff. They were so helpful, kind and supportive like you are staying in some family owned properties.
